Healthy Food Incentive Programs

At the market, we'll offer the following programs that can support students experiencing food insecurity. Please visit the appropriate information booth listed below to access each opportunity.

Students receiving CalFresh benefits can access this program by visiting the East LA Certified Farmer's Market information booth. Student can swipe their EBT card to receive tokens to spend on any eligible food items at the market. Through Market Match, if students spend $20 they can get up to $20 matched in vouchers.

This program is for low-income students that are otherwise not eligible for CalFresh but are experiencing food insecurity. Students can sign up or check-in at the CalFresh information booth and receive $30 worth in vouchers to purchase produce and grocery items at the market.

This program is available while supplies last.
